Event payment system

Event payments that land in your Stripe account, not ours.

Tickets, booth deposits and balances, sponsorships in. Venue, AV and printer paid out. Every dollar on one ledger, settled to your own Stripe account on Stripe’s schedule. Finance automation and payables are included in Crowd, the end-to-end technology for exhibitions, events and festivals.

  • You hold the money. sales settle to your Stripe account on Stripe’s schedule. There is no platform wallet and no payout after the show.
  • Pay for the technology, not each sale. One licence covers every event and every payment. Your takings stay whole.
  • Money in and money out. exhibitor instalments chased by the system, suppliers paid from the same ledger, the books reconciled.

What the payment system does

Payments in, payouts out, one ledger.

Cards, wallets and bank

Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and bank transfer for booth invoices. Whatever the buyer has in their hand.

Deposits and balances

Exhibitors pay a deposit at booking and the balance on a date you set. The reminder goes out by itself; the overdue list is live.

Receipts for every payment

Every payment in or out is on the ledger with its receipt, so reconciliation is a check, not a chore.

How it works

From the first sale to the last supplier invoice.

  1. Step 1

    Connect Stripe

Connect your own Stripe account, or create one in the flow. Sales settle there from the first ticket.

  2. Step 2

    Set the terms

Ticket prices, booth deposits and balance dates, sponsorship packages, and the payment plans on offer.

  3. Step 3

    Sell

Attendees buy on the event page or your embedded checkout. Exhibitors pay deposits and are reminded for balances.

  4. Step 4

    Pay the show

Supplier invoices arrive by email, get matched and approved, and are paid from the same ledger the sales landed in.

Questions organisers ask

How event payments work on Crowd

When do I get paid?

On Stripe’s schedule for your account, because the money settles to your Stripe account directly. Crowd is not in the payout path and does not hold funds until after the event.

What does it cost?

Crowd starts at US$29 per seat a month on Starter, pay as you go. Growth is US$399 per seat a month with no ticket, booth or sponsorship fees. Payments, finance automation and payables are part of that, so you pay for the technology, not each sale. Stripe’s card processing costs apply as on any platform.

Can exhibitors pay a deposit and a balance?

Yes. Set the deposit and the balance date on the booth type. The exhibitor pays the deposit at booking, gets reminded before the balance is due, and the overdue list is live in your dashboard.

Do you hold my money?

No. Sales settle into your own Stripe account. Refunds come out of it, payouts to suppliers come out of it, and the ledger in Crowd reflects it. There is no platform wallet.

Which cards and wallets do you take?

Visa, Mastercard and American Express, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and bank transfer for booth and sponsorship invoices. Stripe handles the card side, so anything Stripe supports in your country works.

What does a refund cost?

Crowd charges nothing to refund. Stripe’s processing fee on the original payment is not returned by Stripe, which is the same on every platform that runs on cards. The ledger and the door list update with the refund.

Your money, your Stripe account, one ledger from ticket to supplier invoice. Get started.
