Time slots, caps and the door.
Sessions, first class
Each show day carries its own sessions: 09:00 to 10:30, 10:30 to 12:00, every one with its own capacity and an Active toggle to rest it without deleting it.
The generator
Session length, gap, capacity, Generate. A day fills from its opening hours, a shorter Sunday makes fewer slots, and a three-day show is three presses.
Server-enforced caps
The cart is bound by the session’s remaining seats and the checkout re-checks the cap on the server. A full room cannot oversell, even in a rush.
Per-type session scope
A ticket type can apply to every session or only the ones you pick, so the member preview stays members-only and the public sessions stay public.
One session per order
Buyers commit to their slot at checkout, which is what makes the seats-remaining numbers true and the door predictable.
Free, paid and mixed
Free timed entry for the school morning, paid for the weekend, on the same day grid.

- Step 3

- Step 4
Sell and scan

General admission
Fri 18 Sep · 10:30 to 12:00
The cart is bound by the session’s remaining seats, and the checkout enforces the cap again on the server. Nobody buys into a full room.
Pick a day, pick a session, buy in under a minute.
Time slots sell like tickets, not like paperwork. Your event page shows each day, then each session with its seats remaining, and a sold-out session greys itself out and sends the buyer to the next one. One session per order keeps the door honest, and the whole flow runs on your own page or embedded in your own website.
- Seats remaining update live, and Almost full does the urgency work a countdown never earns
- A full session closes itself the moment the cap is reached, enforced on the server
- Ticket types can apply to all sessions or only the ones you choose, so a member preview stays members-only
- Apple Pay, Google Pay and card, with the session printed on the ticket and both wallet passes
A day of time slots, generated from your door hours.
Set the session length, the gap and the room capacity, press Generate, and the day fills itself from its opening hours. A shorter Sunday makes fewer sessions on its own. Capacity is editable inline per session, an Active toggle rests a session without deleting it, and a session that has sold tickets cannot be deleted at all, so a fat finger never strands a buyer.
- Ninety-minute gallery slots, twenty-minute Santa photos, three-hour tasting seatings: length is yours
- Change a capacity on the day and the checkout follows immediately
- Free sessions for the member preview, paid for the public, on the same day grid
- Recurring days generate in one press each; a three-day show is three presses

Friday 18 September · 9:00 to 18:00
Generate fills a day from its opening hours; days keep their own hours. Sessions with sales cannot be deleted.
On the ticket, in the wallet, on the scanner.
The session is not a note in an email. It is printed on the ticket, carried in the Apple and Google Wallet passes, and shown to your door team on every scan, with early and late arrivals flagged inside the grace window you set.

An early or late arrival is flagged, not refused. The advisory is on the screen and the door decides.

Never over capacity, always over targets.
Built for every event that sells the clock.
Exhibitions and fan expos
Entry sessions keep the aisles walkable on the big Saturday, and the exhibitor bump-in runs on its own desk.
Galleries, museums and open days
Ninety-minute slots at the room number the fire plan says, with the quiet Tuesday free and the launch weekend paid.
Food, drink and tasting events
Seatings are sessions with a kitchen-sized cap, and the 6 pm sitting stops selling when the tables are spoken for.
Seasonal and holiday events
Santa photos in twenty-minute slots, the light trail in timed waves: high demand spread across the evening instead of one crush.

Timed entry on Crowd
What is timed entry ticketing and why use it?
Timed entry sells your event in sessions, each with its own capacity, instead of one open door. You use it when the room has a number: a gallery that holds 250, a tasting with 40 seats, a Santa set that photographs one family every twenty minutes. The cap is enforced by the checkout, so the crowd arrives spread across the day instead of all at 10 am.
How do I know if my event needs timed entry?
If your venue has a capacity limit, your experience has a natural duration, or your busiest hour is unpleasant while your quietest is empty, timed entry fixes all three. If your event is one continuous festival day with no room limit, ordinary tickets are simpler.
Does timed entry cost extra?
No. Sessions, the generator, capacity enforcement, the wallet passes and the scanner are part of every Crowd event. Crowd starts at US$29 per seat a month on Starter, pay as you go. Growth is US$399 per seat a month with no ticket, booth or sponsorship fees.
How do I create a day of time slots?
Set the session length, the gap between sessions and the room capacity, then press Generate on each day. The day fills from its own opening hours, so a 9-to-6 Saturday makes six 90-minute sessions and a shorter Sunday makes fewer. Every capacity stays editable inline.
What happens when a session sells out?
It closes itself the moment the cap is reached, greys out on your event page, and buyers are guided to the sessions with seats left. The cap is re-checked on the server at checkout, so two buyers racing for the last seats cannot oversell the room.
Can an attendee arrive early or late for their session?
The scanner flags it rather than refusing it: an early or late arrival inside the grace window you set shows an advisory beside the check-in, and your door team decides. The session and time are on the ticket and both wallet passes, so most people arrive on time.
Can an attendee change session?
Refund the session ticket from the order and they buy the slot they want; the freed seat goes straight back on sale. Self-service changes are not offered, because the cap is yours to hold.
Can I mix free and paid sessions?
Yes. A free members’ preview on Friday morning, paid public sessions all weekend, on the same day grid, with ticket types scoped to the sessions they belong to. Free tickets carry no fee.

A day of time slots in one press, caps that hold themselves, the session on every ticket.
Timed entry is part of every Crowd event, with the check-in app and badge printing at the door.
